Το μαρτύριο του Αγίου Δημητρίου δεύτερο μισό 15ου αιώνα, 50,5x53εκ. άγνωστος ζωγράφος του Χάνδακα

Στην εικόνα ο νεαρός άγιος Δημήτριος κάθεται σε έδρανο, στο οποίο στηρίζεται με το αριστερό του χέρι και σηκώνει το δεξί την ώρα που δέχεται τα πλήγματα από τα δόρατα των στρατιωτών, που στέκονται αριστερά. Πίσω του ο δούλος του, ο Λούπος, παρατηρεί τη σκηνή τρομαγμένος. Την ίδια στιγμή κατεβαίνει από τον ουρανό ένας άγγελος που κρατεί ένα πολύτιμο στέμμα για να στεφανώσει τον άγιο. Στο βάθος εικονίζονται ένα κτίριο που έχει πύλη με τοξωτό υπέρθυρο, καθώς και τείχος με πυργοειδές οικοδόμημα.
