English: Ca. 1921. Driving mechanic L.J. Vick posed for photographer Marvin Boland at the Tacoma Speedway circa 1921. He is seated behind the wheel of an unidentified race car on the board track. Riding mechanics, or "mechanicians" accompanied the actual race car driver during the race. It is not known which racer Mr. Vick accompanied. TPL-2476
