| Description |
Portrait headws were worn suspended from waist belts by members of the ruling lineage to legitimise their right to rule. This head was found at Copan, although the text names a lord from Palenque. The mother Yax-Pac, the last king of Copan was from Palenque, she may have brought the head to Copan. |
