English: Khedive of Egypt's Star 1882-91 Awarded to a member of the 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. five-pointed bronze star; suspension ring attached a straight laureated bar with crescent and a small five-pointed star at centre of bar; with ribbon obverse- in centre the Sphinx with the three Great Pyramids behind; around this on a raised band, h is embossed EGYPT above and below- reverse- the Khedive’s monogram ‘T.M.’ surmounted by a crown within a raised band ribbon- blue-grey with a red stripe near each edge medals issued unnamed, but recipients details have been added on points of star top points recipient initials- J - G horizontal points- initials of unit- 2B - GG (2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards) bottom point- service number which is difficult to decipher, either- 5-1134, or 5-11314, 5-437, or 5437 |

Notes | Khedive of Egypt's Star 1882-91 Believed issued to a member of the 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. The stars were authorized by the Sultan of Turkey and conferred by the Khedive of Egypt, Tewfix Mahooed.
