Notes New Zealand War Service Medal 1939-45, WW2 Medal awarded to Cpl. Charles Augustus Pollett (born 1871), New Zealand Home Guard, WW2. The medals of Charles Augustus Pollett (born 1871) include the Queen's South Africa Medal, serving with the City Imperial Volunteers, Rangers Detachment, and the Kings South Africa Medal, serving with the South African Constabulary holding the rank of Quarter-Master Sergeant. He later lived in Australia before moving to New Zealand where he served with the Home Guard during World War Two, receiving the New Zealand War Service Medal.
