Boyle, 2nd Lancashire Fusiliers silver medal; straight swivelling suspension bar; with ribbon obverse- half length figure of Queen Victoria wearing small crown and veil, holding a sceptre in right hand; legend VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX reverse- figure of winged Victory, seated holding a palm branch in her right hand and laurel wreath in her left; at her feet the word SUDAN on a plaque supported by three lilies; behind her on either side are the British and Egyptian flags ribbon- half yellow, half black with a thin dividing red stripe named on edge- 4088 PTE F. BOYLE 2-LAN. FUS-
