English: Queen's Mediterranean Medal 1899-1902, South Africa Medal awarded to 5051 Cpl W Leak, 3rd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own). silver medal; plain straight swivelling suspender; with ribbon obverse- crowned and veiled head of Queen Victoria and legend VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX reverse-Britannia with a flag in her left hand holding out a laurel wreath in her right towards an advancing party of soldiers; in the background are two warships; with the legend MEDITERRANEAN ribbon- red with two dark blue stripes and a broad orange central stripe named on edge- 5051. CORPL- W. LEAK. W. YORK- REGT. markings- obverse- medallist's name below neck- G.W. de Saulles
