Notes Medal commemorating the end of the Anglo Boer War, 1899-1900 This peace medal, by Emil Fuchs, features the figure of Bellona, the Roman Goddess of War, who is usually depicted wearing a helmet and carrying a sword and wearing other articles of war. According to Laurence Brown, this " - medal was seen by Queen Victoria and was favourably commented on by her to Emil Fuchs during an audience in 1900. According to Fuchs this medal was the cause of his first visit to Windsor." reference- Laurence Brown- British Historical Medals 1760-01960, volume II page 469
