Description
English: Copper alloy

Medal. Cast concavo-convex disc with a rectangular slot at top for a ribbon (now lost), and with a beaded border. A legend on three lines reads: BAND/of/LOVE, with a small Greek cross above. The significance is probably religious rather than secular or romantic, and the medal was probably worn by a member of a church or chapel association. Slightly bent. Suggested date: Modern, 1800-1900.

Diameter: 27.2mm. Thickness: 1.2mm, Weight: 5.63gms.
