It was uploaded as a result of a GLAM partnership between Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros and Wiki Movimento Brasil. The Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros (in English: Institute of Brazilian Studies) is part of the University of São Paulo (USP), and was founded by Sério Buarque de Holanda in 1962. IEB has the goal of studying the culture and history of Brazil.
