Description |
English: Late Medieval/early Post Medieval copper alloy miniature cauldron, 25mm long, 20mm wide and 13mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 12.43 grams. It consists of a spherical body with lipped rim above two sub triangular handles. It sits on three long, circular sectioned legs.
Numerous examples of miniature domestic utensils have been found in London (see Egan and Forsyth 2005). The London examples of cauldrons (ibid. 111-115) date from the 14th to 17th centuries. A similar example is recorded at SWYOR-7C0C95 |
