Title
Medieval brooch with readable letters of inscription added
Description
English: A medieval copper alloy annular brooch with a flat circular frame, and a round-section copper-alloy wire pin wrapped around a pin constriction on the frame. The brooch is inscribed with a series of widely spaced capital letters, and there is a rough encircling groove which forms a border around the outside of the brooch, cutting through the upper parts of the letters. There is also a transverse groove to either side of the pin constriction.

The inscription appears intended as MARIA, but only the letter M and I are clear, and the final A seems to be missing.
