Medieval buckle: Single loop buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Medieval buckle, dating from c. 1250-1400. The buckle has a D-shaped single looped frame with narrowed pin bar. At either end of the pin bar is a knop in a foliate design decorated with moulded lines; this is repeated on the outer curve of the frame. The reverse of the buckle is plain, and the pin is missing.
