Medieval buckle: Single loop buckle
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper-alloy single looped buckle dating to the medieval period. The buckle is broadly triangular in plan with an off-set and narrowed strap bar, that is now missing. There is a groove on the front of the buckle for a pin rest as well as decoration. This style of buckle dates from c. AD 1250-1400.
