Medieval buckle or clasp fastener
Description
English: Medieval buckle or clasp fastener; cast copper alloy single, sub-rectangular loop buckle frame, probably dating from the 14th or early 15th centuries. The frame has curved sides of rectangular cross-section, each of which has two casting spurs on the outer edge. There is a narrowed bar at either end of the buckle frame, one of which is of flattened, rectangular cross-section, the other of which is recessed and of oval cross –section.

Length 18.6mm, width 15.7mm, thickness 3.6mm, weight 1.35g
