Medieval coin Edward 3rd penny obv
Description
English: A Medieval silver penny of probably Edward 3rd 1327-77. The coin is quite worn with several scuff damaged areas to the flan making certain identification difficult. Obverse has facing crowned bust with an annulet on the breast. The legend uses double saltire stops and seems to have a cross pattee initial mark ARDVS * REX * ANGLIE The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each quarter with just DVR visible in the legend (probably Durham)
