Title
Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A silver double-oval buckle of medieval date. A similar example was excavated in London, dated by ceramic context to 1350-1400. This example may be slightly later but probably can be dated to the 15th Century.

The buckle has a central transverse bar, pin and part of plate with rivet. The frame has angled outer edges. There are remains of etched foliate decoration on one side of plate and on front edges of frame.

Measures 17.5mm long, 15.7mm wide and 8.4mm thick. The weight is 3.76g.
