Medieval rectangular double loop locking buckle reverse image
Description
English: A Medieval double loop rectangular 'locking' or spur buckle. The buckle has a rectangular frame which is drilled to allow for a separate spindle. Protruding from the outside edge of this spindle is a separate locking arm terminating in rounded point. c.1350-1450 AD. Similar examples can be seen in Whitehead page 89.
