Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle of Late Medieval to early post-Medieval date.

The frame consists of two roughly oval sides which angle upwards from the central axis bar. The upper surfaces of the buckle slope downwards and outwards and the inner edges are steep. At the centre of one side is a transverse pin slot. The underside is flat and bears numerous file marks. The pin is missing.

The buckle measures 20.3mm long, 15.6mm wide and 1.7mm thick. The weight is 0.97g.
