Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle of probable Late Medieval to early post-Medieval date. Each side of the symmetrical frame is D-shaped, has flat upper surfaces and angled outer edges. At the centre of one of the sides in an incised pin slot. The central axis bar is of semi-circular section and is missing its pin. The buckle measures 33mm long, 24.1mm wide and 2.3mm thick. It weighs 4.12g.
