Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle, dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval period.

Each side of the symmetrical frame is 'D-shaped'. There is a central axis bar which is of trapezoidal section, extends to a rounded knop at each end and is missing its pin. The upper surface of the frame has a flat inner portion and a downward sloping outer portion. The underside is flat. The buckle measures 27.9mm long, 16.6mm wide and 2mm thick. The weight is 2.31g.
