Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle, dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods.

Each side of the symmetrical frame is 'D-shaped', with surfaces that slope downwards and outwards. At the centre of each side there is an incised pin rest. The central axis bar is of triangular section and extends to a pointed moulding at either end.

Dimensions: 22.4mm long, 17.4mm wide, 2.2mm thick. Weight: 2.12g.
