Medieval to post-medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle of suggested mid 14th to mid 17th century AD date (R. Whitehead; 1996; pp. 53).

The frame is corroded and badly bent, but would originally have consisted of two symmetrical D-shaped sides. The sides and central axis bar are of sub-circular section and the pin is missing.

In its current condition the piece measures 27.5mm long, 28mm wide and 3.2mm thick. The weight is 5.96g.
