Description
Español: Monumento conmemorativo en forma de estela dedicado a las víctimas del accidente aéreo de Madeira, en la plaza Pintor Sandro Botticelli, hacia la calle Mesonero Romanos, en el barrio de Teatinos, Málaga, España. Sobre una placa de mármol negro con remaches plateados instalada sobre una base de cemento en talud pintada de verde, puede leerse la siguiente inscripción en letras también plateadas: «A. V. V. "Parque Teatinos" / En memoria / de nuestros vecinos y amigos / los cuales fallecieron en / accidente aéreo el día 11- 9-2003. / Vuestro recuerdo siempre / permanecerá con nosotros / Málaga, noviembre de 2003». El monumento se completa con un pino natural que fue plantado en el momento de su inauguración como símbolo ancestral de la regeneración y renovación de la vida. En el accidente aéreo de Madeira, ocurrido el 11 de septiembre de 2003, fallecieron diez personas al precipitarse al mar la avioneta en la que volaban. Los nueve pasajeros de la aeronave, tres matrimonios y tres niños vecinos de Teatinos, fallecieron en el accidente, además del piloto británico Abel Deghim, que pilotaba la aeronave.
