Summary[edit]

Description
English: Laser microsurgery in the SI-chip of sensory neuron dendrites labeled with mCD8-GFP. UAS-mCD8-GFP was expressed in class IV neurons using the ppk-Gal4 driver. Single neurons were imaged by spinning disc confocal microscopy at 5 frames/second. While imaging, a pulsed UV laser was used to transect a primary dendritic branch. The movies were false colored and the scale bar indicates the relative intensity level of mCD8-GFP. mCD8-GFP revealed movements in membranous structures in the cell body, however no intensity increase was observed after dendrite transection.
