Summary
[edit]DescriptionMilky Way in City of Rocks, New Mexico.jpg 2.jpg |
English: I wouldn't have believed that a single shot using my Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens could produce this image of the Milky Way.
I took this last August at City of Rocks State Park in southern New Mexico. I used almost every tool in my kit to "straighten" this circular image and extract details of the galaxy's faint glow. The weird shapes that resulted in the terrestrial portion and the horizon's faint glow enhance the feeling of mystery here. Nikon D800E, ISO 6400, 30 sec., Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 at f/5.6. I used PTGUI Pro, DxO Optics Pro 9, and lots of image transformations in Photoshop. |
