Notes | Sunbeam Mixmaster acquired by Mrs Mrkusich soon after moving into 'new' home in Rewa Ave., Three Kings, Auckland, following her husband's retirement from Parnell Fish Shop at top of Parnell Road, circa 1955-56. The mixer has remained in mint condition because it was not used following an incident or accident when a knife got caught in the blades while the mixer was going. Both Mr and Mrs Mrkusich were born in Dalmatia and Mr Mrkusich initially came to New Zealand prior to WW1 to work as a gumdigMr Mrkusich married Vincenca in 1922 and the family was living in Dargaville when their son (donor's father) was born in 1925. Approximately two years later the family moved to Auckland, opening a fish shop in Parnell Road with the family living above the shop. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
