Title
Modern : Cufflink
Description
English: A complete silver cuff link of modern date. The cufflink is comprised of two elongated oval discs each with integral attachment loops projecting centrally from the reverse and joined by a chain of five oval links. The main discs are decorated with elaborated foliate designs with a hatched background within a slight raised border.

The reverse of one disc bears the hallmark of a lion passant (standard mark), a shield bearing the devise of three bales with dagger (city mark) and the letter "P" (date mark). The second disc bears the lion and letter "P" again. These marks show that the cufflinks were made in Chester in 1811.

The cufflink discs are 20.5mm long, 8.8mm wide, 1.7mm thick, are 18.6mm long with chain and weigh 1.4g.
