Title
Modern cufflink
Description
English: Silver cuff link. The link is circular with an incised central flower surrounded by an incised circle surrounded by a circular stamped border of raised diamonds within a recessed band. The cuff link is made of thin silver sheet and the recessed design on the front has come through as a raised design on the reverse. There is a seperate, soldered on loop attachment on the reverse and the reverse has a raised rim. This would originally have been one of a pair joined by wire element through the loops on the reverses. The form and deorative style suggests a late 18th century or early 19th century date for this cufflink element. It is 13.3mm in diameter, 1.7mm thick and weighs 0.8 grams.
