Summary

[edit]
Description

c/n 156 First flying in 1913, the Type H was a successful sporting and racing machine which saw limited French and British military service at the beginning of World War 1. The Fokker M.5 was a German-built copy with a longer fuselage which was later armed with a synchronised machine gun and eventually became the dreaded Fokker Eindecker. This original 1913 example is one of only two genuine survivors and is on display in the Pioneers Hall. Musée de l'air et de l'espace. Le Bourget Airport, Paris, France.
