Description

Ink and brush illustration from a Chinese medical manuscript of 1914.Laochongbing(tubercular worm disease) orfeichongbing(pulmonary worm disease) belongs to the dual categories of pulmonary disease (feibing) and worm disease (chongbing). The illustration shows the rear view of a man with his back bared. The sacral foramen (yaoyan, 'Lumbar Eyes') at the small of the back is marked and labelled. This location is employed, under the name of 'Ghost Eye Points' (guiyanxue) in the moxibustion treatment oflaochongbing(tubercular worm disease).
