Summary[edit]
DescriptionMu - Korean radish.jpg |
English: Mu or "Korean radish" or joseonmu or "Joseon radish" is a white radish cultivated in Korea.
Korean radish generally is about 8 inches long, three inches in diameter, and weighs about 28 ounches. It tapers from the top to the bottom, and has a pale green shade halfway down from the top. The flesh is crisp, peppery, and sweet. Mu is distinguished from daikon, a Japanese white radish (called waemu in Korea). Daikon is longer, thinner, and more flexible, and has a more watery flavor and less dense flesh. It also lacks the green shading. The greens of Korean radishes are called mucheong missing, and used as vegetable. |
