Printed on verso: 5003. Published by Lowman and Hanford CO., Seattle. Muir Glacier, Glacier Bay, Alaska. Muir Glacier is 350 square miles in area, with a front 3 miles wide and 300 feet high. It moves at the rate of 40 feet a day. The mountains in the background are 15,000 feet high.

Photographer Frank H. Nowell is known to have taken photos of icebergs and glaciers in Alaska from 1900-1909..
