Description

O artista Alexandre Farto, mais conhecido por Vhils, é dos mais reconhecidos criadores de arte urbana a nível internacional. Nasceu em Lisboa em 1987, cresceu no Seixal, estudou em Londres e voltou recentemente às origens para nos impressionar. Alexandre Farto Aka Vhils considera que o graffiti lhe deu a base para decidir o seu futuro profissional. Foi em Londres que conseguiu que a sua street art de retratos anónimos lhe dessem reconhecimento mundial. Das paredes passou para os posters publicitários, mas havia de ser novamente através das paredes, desta vez a esculpi-las, que conquistaria o mundo. Foi no passado dia 25 de Março de 2018 que foi inaugurado no Barreiro o maior mural artistico de Vhils, num espaço que vai ligar o Parque Empresarial da Baía do Tejo ao centro da localidade e que nasceu no contexto de um projecto de requalificação da antiga zona industrial. A obra designada "Sobe e Desce" está no Bairro de Santa Bárbara e estende-se num mural com mais de 150 metros, visando interpretar e imortalizar a vida industrial e fabril que historicamente marca aquele local.
