  • Very Early Antique Cabinetto Organette Roller Organ Music Box Player & Tune Roll. WorthPoint.
"An Early Cabinetto Roller Organ Music Box in good condition. This piece appears to be English made and I would date it around the 1880's or so. It is a larger size walnut cabinet with wonderful gold stenciling details. It measures 17 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 11 1/2". The finish is original and in very nice shape. Just a little loss but not too much. The directions for operation can be found inside. Also found inside was one tune roll for your listening pleasure. All music favorites!! The roll does show a repair at the beginning and the original title has been cut out and pasted on, see photos. It appears that someone had recovered the bellows at one point. The organ does play nice and strong with deep sounds, just listen to the video. There is a play and rewind setting. Presently, the roll needs to be rewound manually. We don't know all the workings of this music machine but it has a large drive wheel inside that moves forward into play. It appears that it doesn't make the connection with the rewind wheel properly and will need adustments. There is a clever little door on top that opens and closes for volume control. Check out the many photos. This is a great music machine and not one that you often come by. Would make a great addition to your organ and music box collection! Shipping is by Fedex ground. "
  • AUREPHONE ORGANETTE - ROLLER ORGAN. WorthPoint.
"AUREPHONE ORGANETTE Aurephone 17-note organette manufactured by the Tournaphone Co. The organette is mechanically restored with new bellows material, leather valves and reeds tuned. The case is in very good condition with some wear and an old repair to the top. Original instruction label intact. Plays well and comes with 1 good original music roll. This unusual organette uses the case top to engage the forward and re-wind functions. When the top is closed, an angled wooden block disengages a small drive pulley from the crankshaft while closing the safety valve and allowing the large drive wheel to engage the crankshaft. When the top is opened, the small drive pulley engages the drive shaft allowing the music roll to rewind while simultaneously opening the safety valve and moving the crankshaft away from the large drive wheel. Quite an unusual mechanism not found on any other organette. This is the only organette that uses a music roll spool with a built-in pulley for the drive belt. Additional new re-cut music rolls are available at: Pipes Of Pan & Schmidt's Music Rolls For additional Organette sales, parts & supplies please visit: Roller Organ Restoration's International Bidders Welcome!
