Summary[edit]
DescriptionNördlingen Bopfingen 1744.png |
English: Detail of a 1744 map showing the territories of the free imperial cities of Nördlingen and Bopfingen ("Popfingen" on map). All the areas in purple constituted the territory of Nördlingen, except the area on the left marked Popfingen. The two self-ruling cities were entirely surrounded by or enclaved into the counties of Oettingen. The map, centered on the principality and counties of Oettingen, was designed by M. F. Cnopf and published by Homann Erben (Homann Heirs) in 1744. |
