Description Since 2011, NASCAR has used E15 -- a biofuel blended with 15 percent American ethanol -- to fuel the cars. NASCAR has completed nearly 4 million miles using E15 and racing teams report an increase of up to 10+ horsepower. Photo by Rebecca Matulka, Energy Department.
