| Description |
English: NGTS-12 b is a sub-Saturn mass Hot Jupiter orbiting the slightly evolved G4V star NGTS-12. The planet has an orbital period of seven and a half days, which, at the time of its discovery, made it the longest period planet discovered by the main NGTS survey. It was later beaten by NGTS-19b and NGTS-20b. I say that it is "inflated" because it has a size slightly larger than that of Jupiter, but less than that of Saturn, meaning it has a low density and is thus "inflated". NGTS-12 b might be nearing the end of its lifetime, as its star may be beginning to transit into the subgiant phase, meaning that the planet could soon be engulfed by its parent star.)
