On Feb. 10, 2020, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced the opening of a new entrance to the 1 Av L Subway Station’s 8 Av-bound platform at Avenue A, on the northwest corner of Avenue A and 14th Street. The grand opening of the new entrance follows the opening of the entrance to the station’s Brooklyn-bound platform at the southwest corner of Avenue A and 14th Street in November 2019.
