| Description |
English: Naik Bet on the banks of Mula-Mutha River as seen from parking space connected to Sangamwadi Road in Pune. Naik Bet is a river island rich in bird diversity and a green belt right in the heart of the city. I discovered this forest area while exploring the rivers for this campaign. and was totally blown away by knowing about this hidden gem. This image does not do justice to showcase the actual green cover of the island. The ground area closer to us is part of riverfront development from Sangamwadi Bridge to Bund Garden and the couple of trees seen in the foreground are numbered for chopping off. |

This image was uploaded as part of Mula Mutha Nadi Darshan 2023 photography campaign cum contest. This photography contest was organised to document the Mula & Mutha rivers along with its tributaries in the Pune district on Wikimedia Commons in the form of images and videos with the involvement of active citizens during the time period of 15 May - 30 June 2023. Pune River Revival group, Jeevitnadi, Ecological Society, Samuchit Enviro Tech, Nisarg Sevak, National Society for Clean Cities etc. in Pune and CIS-A2K collaborated together to organise this contest. |
