Description
English: Capt. Collin P. Green, commander, Naval Special Warfare Group 1, socializes with Naval Special Warfare members, past and present, during the Naval Special Warfare 50th anniversary celebration held at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Green was on hand as a guest speaker to commemorate the Jan. 1, 1962, establishment of SEAL Teams 1 and 2 and introduce Medal of Honor recipient Mike Thornton. Over the course of 50 years, the SEAL Teams have grown from two teams with 20 officers and 100 enlisted to 10 teams with 600 officers and 1,900 enlisted sailors.
