Neolithic Burin
Description
English: A flint dihedral burin (boring tool) dating from the Neolithic period (about 3500-2100 BC). It is sub rectangular in plan with the working point created at the proximal end of the left side. Semi-abrupt retouching forms the working end. There is also some very fine retouch at the distal end and on the left side. The flint is an opaque brown and is partially patinated. Please see Butler's Prehistoric Flintwork, page 131.
