Summary[edit]

Description
English: Remnants of a residential block at the Binckhorstlaan in December 2015 (Binckhorst, The Hague, Netherlands). [It is the same block as in the images "Netherlands, The Hague (Den Haag), Binckhorstlaan (01).jpg" and (02), (03), (04a), (04b), (06) and (07)]. The demolition started in August 2015, but a single family refused to leave because they were unhappy with the alternative housing option offered, so the middle section of the building was left standing a little longer. In the end they left a week or two after this picture was taken upon which the demolition was completed. In a timelapse video on youtube the demolition can be seen, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMYcpE1-nnk&ab_channel=GemeenteDenHaag .
