Summary[edit]

Description {
English: The New York State Military Museum and Veterans Research Center, located at 61 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York occupies the historic former National Guard armory there, which was built from 1889 to 1891 and remodeled in 1902. It was designed by noted armory builder Isaac G. Perry, who also designed the New York State Capitol. The museum's collection began to be accumulated in 1863, without having a permanent home, until it was announced in 2001 that the armory would be renovated to house it. The museum opened in 2002.
