Description
Deutsch: Ober-Huxelmann im Hattinger Ortsteil Niederelfringhausen, Felderbachstraße. Blick auf das Landgasthaus „Huxel“ (links). Dahinter vor dem Eberg (206 m) befinden sich Forellenzuchtteiche und der Felderbach. Der Wanderweg rechts führt zum oberhalb liegenden Ober- und Niederhuxelmanns Busch. - Der Huxel wurde erstmals im Jahre 1005 als Unterhof des Reichshofes Hattingen mit Peter Groete thoe Huxel erwähnt. Im Schatzbuch der Grafschaft Mark von 1486 gab es schon vier Huxeler Höfe mit Abgaben zwischen ein und zwei Goldgulden. In den folgenden Jahrhunderten dehnte sich der Huxel immer mehr aus und alle Höfe und Kotten brachten es insgesamt auf über 400 Morgen Land und Wald.
