Description
English: Diagram of British No. 44 DA (Direct Action) Nose Percussion Fuze Mk IV with Cap.
No 44 was the first British fuze to incorporate a safety shutter. This version is set to open the shutter at the relatively low rotation speed of 1200-2100 rpm, indicating it is for use with low-velocity artillery such as howitzers.
