Summary[edit]

Description
English: October 3, 2015. Excavations at the ancient mound (late 3rd-millennium BCE; Akkadian/Lullubian) of Gird-i Kunara (Tell Kunara), Tanjro Valley, Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan. The mound or tell was registered on November 10, 1943. The excavations were carried out by a French team from the National Center for Scientific Research from 2011 (started with surveys) to the Autumn of 2019.
