Description
English: The Osgood-Pell House at 424 Bellevue Avenue in the Bellevue Avenue Historic District of Newport, Rhode Island, was built in 1888 in the Romanesque Revival style as the summer residence of William H. Osgood. Herbert Claiborne Pell, the former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal and Hungary, was its last private owner. The building was used as a school before it was purchased in 1992 by the Newport Preservation Society and restored and renovated as their headquarters.
