Føroyskt: Páls Høll í Vági, ið hevur Føroya fyrsta 50-metra svimjihyl, lat upp alment 17. oktober 2015. Høllin er uppkallað eftir Føroya besta svimjara, Pál Joensen, ið er vágbingur. Brøðurnir Dennis Holm og John Henrik Holm, ið eru tveir av stigtakarunum til Páls Høll, greiddu frá um verkætlanina, um stuðlar og hvussu teir nú vóru komnir á mál. Teir søgdu, at høllin hevði kostað umleið 20 milliónir, og at um hon varð bygd á vanligan hátt uttan sjálvbodna hjálp og hjálp frá fyritøkum vm. so hevði høllin nokk havt kostað minst fýra ferðir so nógv. Dansk: Páls Høll har Færøernes første 50-meter svømmepool. Hallen er opkaldt efter Færøernes bedste svømmer, Pál Joensen. Hallen ligger ved Oyrarnar i Vágur i Pál Joensens hjembygd. Den ligger ved siden af SEV-værket, som er et elektricitetsværk, som indtil Páls Høll blev bygget lod det varme vand løbe ud i havet. Nu bliver det varme overskudsvand fra SEV-værket brugt til at varme vandet og selve hallen Páls Høll. English: Páls Høll is the first 50-meter swimming pool in the Faroe Islands. It was built in Vágur from 2013 until 2015 and opened officially on 17 October 2015. It is named after Pál Joensen, who is - until now - the best Faroese swimmer ever and the only Faroese swimmer who has competed at the Olympics. The swimming pool is heated with the warm water from the SEV-electricity power plant which is located just west of Páls Høll, they get it for free. The waste heat from the power plant was running into the sea until Páls Høll was built. On this photo the brothers John Henrik Holm and Dennis Holm tell about the project from the beginning until this day at the official opening. |
