Summary[edit]
DescriptionPCA analysis of 17 Iberian populations.png |
English: Geographic location of the 17 Iberian populations studied and population structure of the Iberian Peninsula. Geographic locations of the analysed data are shown at the right. The first and second principal components of the Iberian dataset are shown at the left. PCA results obtained from the Iberian dataset presented only a subtle genetic differentiation throughout the Iberian Peninsula. In particular, PC1 separated most Basque samples from the rest of the populations and also, Porto, Lisbon, and some Andalusian samples appear separated from other Iberian populations. PC2 separated Portuguese, Galician and Andalusian samples from the rest of the Iberian samples. |
